The title of the book was Practical English for Economic Students (Part One) written by M. Ridha Ajam and Abdurrahman Hi. Usman, published by LepKhair Press in 2009. The research was conducted to know whether the book has met the criteria of a good coursebook or not covering two research questions, namely: (1) What are the criteria of a good coursebook? (2) has the book met the criteria of a good coursebook? This study was designed in qualitative approach. The book was analyzed in many points of view. The analysis was in terms of the cover of the book, techniques of presentation, contents of the materials, quality of printing, lay out design, and the language used. The criteria included were based on the personal opinions of the researcher and the credible and authoritative experts on materials development. The findings of the research were based on the analysis results as the primary data. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the book was not included as a good coursebook because it has not met all the criteria of a good coursebook from all points of view. Therefore, the book needs revising based on the recommendation of the researcher.
