Welcome to TESOL Indonesia – A Division of TESOL Asia – The Global TESOL Company

TESOL Indonesia International Conference  is a conference for professionals in the field of English Language Teaching, English for Specific Purposes, CLIL and Second Language Acquisition Research.

The first TESOL Asia Conference was in 2003 in Pusan, South Korea under the original banner of Asian EFL Journal Conference with  the theme of “SLA Research Towards a New Future”. The focus on the practice of ELT has grown exponentially and  the  TESOL Asia Group,  with its many divisions,  has become the world’s leading professional development conference in the Asia Pacific region with participants from over attending the group Conferences from over 140  countries.

Divisions of TESOL Asia include the internationally acclaimed Academic Journals of the English language Education group, the world’s leading and foremost journals on Second language acquisition research.

TESOL Indonesia was established by TESOL Asia following strong demand from government and educators across the great nation of Indonesia

TESOL Asia Conferences also give rise to a peer-reviewed online publications known for par excellence – The Asian EFL Journal, The TESOL International Journal plus 13 others.  These  are  peer-reviewed journal with an Editorial Board of approximately 875 international editors in 98 countries. TESOL Indonesia is proud to introduce the newest academic journal, the ASEAN EFL Journal which will open in conjunction with the inaugural TESOL Indonesia conference.

TESOL Indonesia brings together the following groups:

  • Classroom teachers of English and teacher trainers;
  • Local and global Researchers in the fields of ELT and linguistics;

  • Educators from international language education enterprises
  • Ministry of Education representatives, and Global Government groups including ASEAN

TESOL Indonesia aims to:

  • The world leading forum through the INDONESIAN INNOVATION CONVENTION where  exchange of ideas and dissemination of information on good practices within English Language Teaching from diverse fields;
  • Strengthen and broaden the network of English language teachers and all those involved in the  ELT sector in Indonesia and South East Asian nations;
  • Increase the links between the ELT communities in Southeast Asia and the international ELT community through its network including the Women in TESOL Organization and TESOL Fm group
  • Highlight research in the fields of language. Neuro-linguistics and contemporary  language education.
